DaedalusX64 Beta 3 Update

 DaedalusX64 Beta 3  has been released , addressing various issues and further improving the stability of the emulator.

Developer's note:
As promised the next public release of Daedalusx64 is out! This mostly to address issues found in Beta 3 (thx to all the members that reported the issues), and also to improve the stability of the emulator. Several risky optimizations from B3 were removed to favor stability, but no fear, several speed improvements were squeezed onto this released as well.

Also we added a highly requested feature: support for cheat codes. This is based from 1964, any cheat for 1964 works perfectly in Daedalus (you can simply copy and paste any cheat from their database onto Daedalus.cht file)
Other big improvement is the implementation of env mapping and software culling.

The good thing about this plugin is that it does not take much memory. So it is hardly noticeable. It is actually a replacement for the outdated music.prx plugin, but it has more features such as different play modes.

*This plugin works on CFW 6.38 ME and lower ME. There were some problems with error control in the CFW ME Version 6.38. These have now been resolved.

How to Install 6.20/6.35 PRO-B4 ☺

 

 Coldbrid & Liquidzigong  have just released PSP Custom Firmware 6.20/6.35 PRO-B4.  To run the CFW just run the PRO B4 update. To make it permanent, run the compatibility check first, run the fake vshmain to see everything is ok. This will check to make sure your PSP model is compatible with the perm patcher. It will reboot into PRO-B4, if it doesn’t or it crashes or reboots into OFW. Don’t use the perm patch.

If everything is working fine, then just run the patch and make it permanent.

How to permanent patch the CFW:

• Pressing R while booting loads the recovery.

• Should you manage to brick yourself, try pressing O+X+Select+Start while turning your PSP on. It will trigger a emergency uninstall.

CTorrent-DNH-PSP-DA v1.5

Homebrew dev Daniel Ribeiro (aka DanielBR or ferion11) has  released his port of the Enhanced CTorrent app for the PSP, a nifty 
torrent client for Sony's handheld console.

Developer's note:

This is a port and a bit of Enhanced CTorrent to PSP by danzel and improved by danielbr. The features supported are fairly minimal (No protocol encryption, https support, peer exchange, etc) You can download torrents from thepiratebay.org, I've used it as my test site.

I tried to port libtorrent and libtorrent.ro before trying to port ctorrent.
It should be possible to port transmission (might need some work on the pthreads port however), but seriously, torrenting on PSP? You are crazy!

The PSP networking stack really isn't designed for running torrents, I've limited peers to 20 to attempt to alleviate this, but it still causes problems some times.
