Open Idea ISO Loader Released

Posted on 15:31 by Unknown
Coder dridri has released OpenIdea Iso Loader, an alternative solution to Liquidzigong’s Prometheus ISO Loader with a slightly different twist: It runs your ISOs directly from the PSP XMB.

How Do I Install?
  1. Extract the ISO Loader and put all the .prx-files in “ms0:PSPSYSTEM”. there is NO need to register these in the vsh.txt file
  2. Take an ISO of your choice and drop it onto the “iso_packer.exe” that is the eboot converter (download Open Idea Eboot Builder).
  3. After the program finished converting, put the EBOOT (that can be found in the same directory as the ISO it has been created from) on your MS like this “ms0:/PSP/GAME/anynamehere/EBOOT.PBP”
  4. The converted ISO should now show up in the games section in the XMB.

How to Downgrade 6.20 TN-B

Posted on 15:21 by Unknown

Downgrading your psp is not really recommended, since every time you update or upgrade your psp, there is a chance of bricking your psp. especially 3001 and Go models. I do not recommend doing it, but here is the "How to" anyways:

  1.   Start 6.20 TN-B
  2. Download the following files:
    • PSARDumper
    • OFW (EBOOT.PBP) Update
  3. Place PSARDumper in the PSP/GAME folder like you would any other homebrew and copy the OFW EBOOT.PBP to the root of your memory stick
  4. Start PSARDumper and press circle
  5. After the program finishes, connect the USB cable to your PSP and navigate to the folder F0, which should now be at the root of your memory stick
  6. Copy /F0/vsh/etc/version.txt to /seplugins/version.txt
  7. Go back to your PSP XMB and press select to bring up the VSH menu. Go to “Fake Index.dat” and change it to “enabled”. Next, select “restart vsh”
  8. Copy the OFW EBOOT.PBP to “PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP”
  9. On your PSP start the OFW installation as you would any other firmware update
  10. After it finishes, the PSP will restart and a blue screen will appear saying that the PSP settings are invalid. Press circle and the PSP will restore default settings and restart. You now have OFW installed.

CWCheat 0.2.3 for 6.20 TN HEN

Posted on 03:07 by Unknown
Takka  releases CWCHEAT for 6.20 TN-A. Now you can cheat each and every ISO you’ve loaded on that memory stick of yours. You can ctivate CWCHEAT for 6.20 TN-A in game.txt, which should be located in your seplugins directory. If you’re unsure, read the instructions for Game Categories Light. The same idea but you’re using game.txt instead of vsh.txt. Once you’ve done that, start your game and hold select until the CWCHEAT menu appears.

Update: With the cheat database added, under the seplugins directory, where game.txt, vsh.txt, and the prx files reside, create a new directory called “cwcheat.” Copy cheat.db there so you end up with this: seplugins/cwcheat/cheat.db. Now try.

CXMB for 6.20 TN-A Released + A Cool PSP Theme

Posted on 07:06 by Unknown
Patpat recently released a compatible version of CXMB for 6.20 TN-A and  also
included a 6.20 theme — a real nice one too.

To install CXMB for 6.20 TN-A you also need to unpack and decrypt some firmware 6.20 files. Use this version of psardumper with this 6.20 EBOOT. Find these files: paf.prx, common_gui.prx, vshmain.prx and copy them to ms0:/cxmb/support/ (or ef0 on your PSP Go). Copy cxmb.prx to ms0:/cxmb/, so you’re left with ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx. Open vsh.txt in the seplugins directory and add this line: ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx 1 (or again ef0).
Enjoy!

The phone is being called the Sony Ericsson ZEUS - Z1 and, like the PSPgo, includes a sliding mechanism that reveals the hidden controller input. While it's unclear what types of games the device will play, another YouTube video uploaded soon after by the same user shows the PlayStation application load successfully, but a notice says there are no games currently installed.

A rumored report from August suggests the phone will be powered by Google's Android operating system. It's believed it will be revealed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this coming February.

playstation-phone-prototype-benchmarked-has-low-powered-gpu

The PSP phone has been benchmarked and the benchmark has been recorded. The phone scored a low 25fps.The  Nexus S or current 6 month old Galaxy S can do twice the frame rate this PlayStation phone clocked. I certainly hope Sony plan to add an improved GPU before the phone is released! No point in having hardware game controls if the GPU is underpowered.

    PSP Grader v008

    Posted on 04:23 by Unknown
PSP Grader lets you create a Magic memory stick with just one click. It also lets you Downgrade and upgrade  from any firmware to Custom firmware. PSP Grader not only creates a magic memory stick, it packs a few additional options: inject an IPL only, clean the Pandora stick ridding any files created by PSP Grader, and the ability to change the default trigger to load Pandora when you’re ready.

    Requirements:
A PSP with MemoryStick or MicroSD Card.
Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, or Newer.

    DOES NOT need .net!

    Features
    - Download the eboot straight from the app!
    - Load eboots stored in ZIP files.

    Coming Soon:
RAR & 7z Loading - Rar loading didnt make the port to pascal but only due to time restraints, it and 7zip loading are planned!

Backup Script - Once again due to time constraints a backup function didnt make it. Grader never had one and myne never worked to begin with so I put this off till it could be done right!

SPEED - While this app is no slower than anything I have written before it is slower than Grader 6. We have already begun finding ways to speed up the app and it will be sped up soon!

    Circa dome

    Posted on 04:41 by Unknown
If you take a look on the Circa dome gray psp theme then you will notice that this themes are almost similar. The whole picture is similar there are only color changes - gray background became black and the icons became white instead of dark gray. Nevertheless you should try this theme. There is nothing to add or remove from it.

    PSP Phone- Real!

    Posted on 05:14 by Unknown
It seems that Sony Ericsson -- a company that has yet to even introduce an Android 2.0 device -- is at work on a project to redefine gaming on Google's mobile platform. We now know (via a trusted source) that the company is actively and heavily developing a brand new gaming platform, ecosystem, and device (possibly alongside Google) which are already in the late stages of planning. And we've got the goods on it.

Here's what we can tell you about the hardware: if you're a gaming fan, this is exactly the kind of phone you've been waiting for. The device is described as cross between the Samsung Captivate and the PSP Go -- in other words, it's a landscape slider with game controls in place of the typical QWERTY keyboard. The D-pad is here, but instead of the small joystick, the device will have what was described as a "long touch pad" for analog controls, along with standard PSP buttons and shoulder buttons. The phone has a large display, described as being between 3.7 and 4.1 inches with WVGA or better resolution, a 5 megapixel camera that we're told might not be final, and it'll likely have a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU on board. The phone is mostly black with some silver highlights, and the gamepad area is white / silver in color. Apparently it's currently branded as a Xperia device, but it looks like it will carry PlayStation branding as well. Those who've seen the phone say it looks "pretty damn sexy." The mockup above probably doesn't do the actual hardware justice, but it should give you an idea of what you'll be dealing with.

On the software side, it looks like the device will be running Gingerbread (Android 3.0) with a phone-specific skin, and there will be a new area of the Android Market specifically for the games. That content will be initially accessible only by the halo device, but from the sounds of things, these titles might be made available to other Android phones if their specs and button layouts meet requirements. Games will be graphically in the range of PSX or PSP games, meaning true 3D gaming is headed to Android. Titles currently being shown off seem to be focused around some older PSX as well as new PSP offerings, with God of War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and LittleBigPlanet possibly on tap, and future plans for titles which incorporate augmented reality features.

In terms of release, it's possible that the phone and ecosystem could be introduced as early as October of this year, but we have yet to confirm.

Right now we're working on getting even more detail about the phone and partnership, but we can tell you now that this is not a random rumor -- we have reason to believe that what we've heard and seen is real and coming to market. It makes perfect sense in a way -- Google gets a much-needed push into the gaming and entertainment space for Android, while Sony (via its partnership with Ericsson) finally delivers the PlayStation phone users have been wanting. We see it as a major win for both companies and the consumer... and we always need another distraction. Stay tuned to this space for updates as we get them, and in the meantime, start socking away the pennies.

PTF is the official theme of the original format, more stable, simple.  CTF is by the players to produce their own format, gorgeous. Changeable, the most splendid of its characteristics.
PTF and CTF theme of difference is the installation method:

The effect of PTF theme by direct PTF file copy of the Memory Stick, PSP will be able to read. CTF format and will need CXMB this through a powerful plug-ins to achieve.
CXMB is a brush-free F0 can be made the subject of the effect of F0 plug-in, the specific use:

     1. Download CXMB for 5.00M33

     2. Decompress after the CXMB folder seplugins folder and its contents into the Memory Stick root directory (in order to prevent coverage of the plug-ins before, seplugins add their own content).

     3. Will. Ctf theme file into MS0: / PSP / theme /

     4. To re-start to recovery mode (boot holding down the building onto R). In the recovery mode will cxmb.prx plug-in plugins activated (set to Enable)

     5. To "set -" set the theme = "theme" you need to choose the theme of the CTF

    Cube Runner Released

    Posted on 16:15 by Unknown
Stinkee2 has released his own PGU-powered version of Cube Runner for the PSP.

     Developers Note:
I know it's already been made on the PSP. The one I tried was kinda bad, so I made this. To further demonstrate some of the features of PGU.

    Controls:
    • Analog Stick
      • Move left/right. It works best if you push it all the way forward and move it slowly. (unless you have a big line of cubes to dodge)
    • L+R Triggers
      • Press both the L and R triggers to get a higher view. This is good for level mode and sometimes arcade mode.
    • Start button
      • Pause.

    Game Modes:
    • Level Game
      • Load a user created level, saved as a 20x(any height) PNG image and play through it. Background color is white, don't change it or else you won't be able to really play it. There will only be a massive wall of cubes the color that you changed the background to.
    • Arcade Game
      • Play through sort of a "tunnel" or "road" of cubes for as long as you can without hitting the sides.
    • Endless Game
      • Play through a barrage of randomly placed cubes for as long as possible without hitting any.

And that's pretty much it. As stated in the beginning, this is just a demo of some of the features of my library. EVERYTHING here is done using only PGU.

New PSP Features New Updated Hardware

    Posted on 05:01 by Unknown
Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan recently revealed a new, redesigned PSP planned to release alongside the launch of Monster Hunter 3rd Portable. This limited edition PSP isn't just another custom color, but features actual physical changes to the handheld. Keep on reading to find out the handheld's changes and view photos of it.

Continuing with Tokyo Game Show news, Sony revealed a special Monster Hunter edition, PlayStation Portable that includes a redesigned analog stick. The PSP's analog stick has concave surface, allowing for player's thumbs to more comfortably move it without worrying about their finger slipping off. Secondly, the back side of the PSP includes plastic "grips" and a battery cover that slightly sticks out more. The reason for this being, is that it includes a bigger battery, allowing for longer gaming sessions with the improved battery life

Capcom and Sony worked together on the handheld and it shows, as you can tell this PSP was created with Monster Hunter gamers in mind. As of now, the console is set to release in Japan on release day for Monster Hunter 3rd Portable, December 1 and will come inside a bundle packaged with the game for 19,800 yen (about $230).
