• R -> red / blue
• G -> green / purple

6.35 Custom Firmware V6.

Neur0n has recently updated his PSP-2000 Custom Firmware 6.35 to v6. This new update adds a VSH Menu and Recovery menu. If you holdthe R button on boot, it will launch the recovery menu. Just like the M33 or GEN Custom Firmwares.

PSP2 Announced! Dual Analog Sticks/ Touch Screen/3G/Gps/wifi...

At a special event in Tokyo, company bosses revealed what they are officially calling the NGP or Next Generation Portable.

There were no details on how much it is likely to cost but it is expected to be out sometime towards the end of 2011.

The NGP is being launched into an increasingly competitive market with Nintendo's 3DS out soon and a boom in mobile gaming on smartphones.

If you’re not satisfied with your current firmware 6.31 or 6.35, then downgrade to 6.20 and run Total_Noob’s 6.20  HEN. It’s supports POPs, VHS, and other fixes.

How to Downgrade:

Copy the “PSP” folder to your PSP. The downgrader is “signed” and can be launched from OFW XMB. You need to copy the 6.20 update to PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP and for PSPgo it must be the eflash it is placed on. After setup run the downgrader and follow the onscreen instructions.

Half Byte Loader R113 Signed for PSP Firmware 6.37

If you updated to firmware 6.37, do not worry. you can still play Homebrew. This new version of HBL is signed and requires no save game exploit. Just copy the archive to your memory stick and start your homebrew.

How to Install 6.20 TN C + Prometheus ISO Loader

To install Hen C on your psp with 6.20 OFW , simply follow the steps below:

1). Download the installation pack HERE

2). Extract the contents to your psp Memory Stick.

3). place your ISO files in the psp memory card, inside a folder named ISO or create one next to the psp folder

4). disconect from pc , and go to the GAME tap on tour psp and selec TN HOMEBREW ENABLER.. now if you go to system settings-firmware, you will see 6.20 Hen C!

5). Go to your game tap on your PSP  and select "Phonephemus ISO Loader." there, you can load your downloaded ISO. Enjoy!

PSP Maps 2.2

PSP-Maps is a tool that allows you to browse Google Maps, Virtual Earth and Yahoo Maps with your PSP and its WiFi connection. You can move around the map, zoom in and out, cycle through the different available views, search for an address, load/save favorites, etc.

It includes a cache system so you can browse later the maps you have previously seen, even if you don't have WiFi available. There is also a PC version if you don't have WiFi at all, so you can build a cache on your computer and copy it to your PSP.

Technically, PSP-Maps connects directly to the servers to fetch the images, it does not use the provided APIs since there are usually in JavaScript and not convenient for a homebrew.

Crazy Gravity 1.1 

The Underminer has released Crazy Gravity Portable v1.1. In this update he has added 7 new levels, increased the loading speed (doubled!) and fix a few bugs that were present. The game is based on Crazy Gravity for the PC by Axel Meierhöfer.

Recovery Flasher v1.65

Hellcat recently  released a new version of Recovery Flasher, an awesome  app that allows you to restore briked  PSP's, upgrade and downgrade your CFW's, make and restore dumps, among other things.

Developer's note:

First off, a small "what's NOT (yet?) supported": ANY kind of flashing on "newer 2000s", PSP 3000 or the PSPgo

If support for those models will ever, in any way be added to Recovery Flasher is doubtful (mostly as there's no CFWs for those).

MAYBE (and I can't stress the *MAYBE* enough, it's more likely a "likely not") support to flash OFW on (some of) those models might be added one day for the sake of downgrading the OFW.

Changelog:

• fixed compatibility with 6.20-TN HEN
• added check for 6.20-TN and the 6.35 HEN
• added check for 6.20-TN HEN's flash0 protection being enabled
• added check for configured game mode plugins when on 6.20-TN and the 6.35 HEN
• added detection of the PSP4000 model and the PSPgo
• added appropriate handling of all of the above, when detected, to avoid unnecessary tears casted by users
• added support to handle 6.00, 6.10 and 6.20 FWs for restore of (filewise) flash backup and clean install from scratch
• added decryption of extracted (hidden) updater driver modules - and so enabling downgrade from 6.35+ (only on hackable PSPs though, for now)
• added new firmware packs to install clean 6.20 OFW using Recovery Flasher
• bundled the existing 5.50-GEN firmware packs with the main release
